Geosynthetics and Industrial Fabrics

The Geosynthetics and Industrial Fabrics Division (GIF) specializes in the manufacture, fabrication, and installation of flexible plastic sheeting and fabric products. The main thrust of the division is Geosynthetics Products - polymeric (plastic) products that are used in the earth. These include geomembranes, floating covers, geotextiles, geogrids, silt curtains and erosion & sediment control products. Our industrial fabrics includes construction and agricultural tarps, enclosures and industrial rollstocks / fabrics.

Poly Films Division

The Poly Films Division is an extruder and converter of film and packaging products. Concentrating on western Canada and the Pacific Northwest of the US, Layfield Poly Films serves the packaging, construction, and agriculture markets with custom and specialty film products.

Environmental Systems Division

The Environmental Systems Division (ESD) of Layfield is focused on delivering services, rather than products, with a specialization in the installation of geosynthetics. ESD is organized as a construction company, with estimating, project management, and field services.

Industrial Fabrics

The Industrial Fabrics part of the GIF division utilizes our Geotechnical fabrication facilities to manufacture stock and custom tarpaulins and enclosure products. In the Industrial Fabrics area we produce tarpaulins, enclosures, insulated blankets, greens covers, pile covers, curtains, bags, and many other fabrics and materials for industrial applications.
